Leslie model 515 was ontworpen ter uitbreiding van de volgende modellen:
315, 415, HL-422, 715 en de HL-722.

De bedoeling van deze box was om aan de bovengenoemde modellen extra kanalen toe te voegen voor orgels, die over méér dan twee kanalen beschikten.
